We are pleased to announce that Effective January 1st, 2016 our product, Sistah Buttah – All Natural Shea Butter Blend, will be included in June’s Companions Breast Cancer Patient Care Kits!
June Companions Breast Cancer Patient Services is a non profit organization that provides multi level care for patients who are in need of pre or post breast cancer services. They provide services such as mammogram referral, services, transportation and medication pick -up. Founded in 2013 by Stacy Dyer after watching her own mother suffer through Stage 3 breast cancer. June’s Companion’s mission is:
To assist and encourage breast cancer patients every step of the way as they conquer breast cancer.
Essentially they act as a “companion” to the patient by being there, sharing knowledge & support and assisting in every way they can. One of the programs that June’s Companions has created to provide comfort and companionship to their patients is the JC Care Kits Program.
Through JC Care Kit Program, Care Kits can be purchased for and/or donated to breast cancer patients across Metro Atlanta and beyond. June’s Companion’s staff has hand selected several useful items and put them together in a special patient care package. Each product that goes into JC’s Care Kit was selected based on research of what a breast cancer patient will need to help them through chemotherapy side effects and recovery. Items such as affirmation cards & journals, lip balm, fuzzy socks, hand creams, etc. are all included. I am pleased to announce that as of January 1st, 2016 our product Sistah Buttah will be one of the items that is included in this kit!
I became familiar with June’s Companions when I sponsored & attended their last Fundraiser: Sip & Paint – A Fundraiser for Junes Companions. When Sheila Wilson, Administrative Support Director for Junes Companions and Stacy Dyer (CEO & Founder) approached me about making Sistah Buttah a part of it’s Care Kits I was more than eager to work with them to make it happen! Sistah Buttah – All Natural Shea Butter Blend was selected because of its ability to soothe dehydrated cracked skin (a side effect of chemotherapy) and because of its all natural ingredients. I am so excited to be working with this organization. When I started the journey of entrepreneurship my main goal above all else was to be able to make a real difference in the lives of others. So putting my product, Sistah Buttah into JC’s Care Kit for Breast Cancer Patients is really a dream come true. It is truly an honor and a blessing to be a part of this initiative.
