Every year New Year millions upon millions of people sit down and decide what their New Year’s Resolutions are gonna be. New Year’s resolutions are tasks, in my opinion, that we set ourselves up for failure for while trying to achieve them every year.
For many years in my family we have celebrated Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa is an awesome kind of holiday that can be celebrated by people of any and all races, creeds and religions. It’s really a cultural celebration of heritage & African American people and community. This holiday was founded in 1965 by Dr. Maulana Karenga. It is a week long celebration that takes place beginning December 26th through January 1st. Even though you can choose how you want to celebrate, there are a few key symbols, words and activities that are crucial to doing so appropriately.
The holidays are here, everyone is happy, laughing and singing! You are hosting the gathering this year and whether its your 1st time or a tradition that you take on every year, things can get very tricky if you don’t plan. How does the saying go? “If you fail to plan, then plan to fail?” This also applies to holiday dinners.
Last Fall I had a great time planning and executing my first ever wine event. Wine Brunch Tour ATL was a collaborative effort between myself and my friends Justin & Sherita Thomas over at Soul Wander Travel. We are back again this year with more! This time expanding our DAY trip to an ENTIRE weekend for Weekend Wine Tour!
EcoHome Atlanta hosted a private pre Grand opening for its new store in Buckhead. It was a wonderful afternoon. We got to take a tour of this beautiful store, and enjoy a light brunch with mimosas while we learned about all of their eco friendly products.

There is more than just one “F” word! There are “F” words like fun and flirty. There are also some “F” words that are less agreeable (especially for women) like the words Forty and Fifty. For some reason when women get to the end of their 30’s they think its the end of the world! Well I’m here to tell you that Life Begins at Forty and I cannot wait until the real fun starts at Fifty!
