My Fabulous Thrifting Finds!

Thrifting FindsI have really been working on honing my thrifting skills since my maiden voyage last year.  My first trip was epic allowing me to score a couple of vintage handbags.  Thrifting has become a new obsession of mine and I blame Carnella Harvey aka Natural Hair Freedom for getting me hooked.  See she posts all of these cute pictures of her awesome thrifting finds and it made me curious to see if I could find anything to my liking at a thrift store.  Yeah I know I am late to the game and a lot of you seasoned thrifting sistahs have it down to a science.  But it’s still fairly new to me.  The excitement is still there and I still get giddy over a perfect score.  A perfect score is finding that one incredibly perfect piece that is either brand new with tags or very gently used.  Clothing is what I enjoy looking for in thrift stores.  Items such as dresses, shirts, skirts, boots and athletic wear are my thing.  I enjoy looking for pieces to incorporate into my wardrobe.  I don’t know what category my fashion style falls into, but I know that I like prints & bold colors, things that are different and items that accentuate my 5’1″ plus sized frame.  Basically, I like what I like and you can put me in whatever category you want.

I hit my favorite spot last week on a 50% off day and here are some of the pieces that I scored.

I just love yellow and I love myself in yellow.  This lil sundress really stood out to me. It’s by Speed Control and very maxi at the bottom with gorgeous lining underneath.  I love it.  Scored for $4.24.

This python print blouse by Erin London is sooo to die for.  Love the sparkly and the silver buttons.  The blouse shimmers with movement. Scored for $4.49.

I told you I like prints.  I adore this cute little baby doll dress.  It has a deep V in the front and the back and its super short.  This picture does not do its deep colors justice.  Bailey Blue is the brand. Scored for $4.24

Another perfect dress just for me!  I love Bisou Bisou line.  Its made for JC Penney i think.  I love their clothes because they are always fit this petite plus chick just right.  Its really a beautiful piece.  I especially love the sleeves and the vibrant colors. Scored for $4.49.

I am totally in love with everything I got and I can’t wait to rock these items!  I will be back in a few weeks for my next finds. Until then I am making room in my closet for another GREAT haul!

How long have you been thrifting and what are your favorite things to hunt for?
