Yay! I cant believe I got to meet Kim Fields! Gahhhh! I love her! I was invited to attend this years Family Dollar event, Family Dollar Fabulous: The Atlanta Experience presented by Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils and Africa’s Best. It was held right here in Atlanta at The Loft at Castleberry Hills. As a Family Dollar Fabulous Ambassador last year it was great to be invited back.
We were treated to great food, live music and lots of natural hair talk. We got some really great tips on the best ways to use Africa’s Best on Natural and relaxed hair and how to use Aunt Jackie’s on natural hair. Kim Fields talked to us about her busy life as a wife and mother, her career, what she is doing now and so much more. She also spoke about balance and her connection to her community an spirit.
The blogger panel was great. Each panelist was allowed to ask her a couple of question. They asked some really good questions. My good friend Tarin Boone, of NaturallyMeMedia was one of the blogger panelists.
Meeting Kim Fields aka “Tootie” was the highlight of my evening. She was so sweet and gorgeous in person. Very elegant and eloquent. I actually told her that The Facts of Life was my fav show and about my roller skates and how she influenced me as a pre teen. I’m sure she cared, but even if she didn’t she acted like she did and I appreciate that! Check out my periscope footage of her introduction.
