I received this car from DriveShop for a 7 day test drive. All opinions are my own
When it comes to driving the new 2016 Mazda’s I feel like I am an aficionado. After all I have written reviews for the 2016 Mazda 6 and the 2016 Mazda CX-5 already! While planning a weekend day trip to the mountains I thought it would be fun to try out something stylish, sporty & compact. This beautiful 2016 Mazda3 S 4-door Grand Touring came to us in Soul Red Metallic. I knew that my husband and I would be making a long drive. What I didnt know is that the temps would drop to below freezing and that it would also snow!
This is where interior features like Dual Zone Auto Climate Control and Variable Heated Front Seats come in very handy! As you can see driver and passenger comfort is a standard in this 2016. The 2016 Mazda3 has all of the glorious luxury of the Mazda6 but in a compact sportier version. Perfect for drives in the country.
The 18-inch alloy wheels and the all season tires handled very well as we navigated new territory in the mountains of North Georgia. It is truly the best place to test drive anything because of the different road grades. When it comes to inclement weather you think about different things that you need from a car.
This vehicle has the following safety features:
Dynamic Stability Control
Traction Control System
Hill Launch Assist
It was about an 1 and 1/2 hour drive to Dahlonega from Atlanta. Fuel economy was also a factor and the Mazda3 performs getting 33 MPG (combined city/highway). It was a very comfortable ride. I really enjoyed the moon roof, XM radio, leather trim sports seats. Everything a girl needs to explore. We had a great time in the mountains and got there safe and sound in this 2016 Mazda3 Grand Touring.
