It was absolutely my pleasure to be an integral part of this years Women’ Entrepreneurs Rock Conference! #WERock2014 took place here in Atlanta on November the 15th. This conference had everything, Speakers, Sponsors, Panelists, Vendors, SWAG, Interactive Activities and more! As the Social Media Manager/Sponsorship Coordinator for this event, I worked in direct collaboration with the co founders: Edeline Dryden and Melisa Alaba. These ladies have been putting on this conference for 4 years and it was an honor to be on board!. We had an awesome team filled with the best and the brightest women all bringing their expertise together to make this event great! This year we brought social networking into the frame in order to to promote and execute the event. Which is where I came in.
My contributions to WE Rock 2014
Social Media Management: Organized & managed 4 Social Media Influencers: Ashley Marshall Seward, Kim Wright, Turkesha McIvy & Briana Ford. Together we promoted as well as provided live coverage of the event. I made daily updates on Facebook and Twitter and hosted a Live Google Hangout and a #WERock2014 Twitter chat. Our bloggers were instrumental and did a fantastic job with spreading the word about WE Rock through various social media platforms
Host: On the day before WE Rock a special Women Entrepreneurs Rock Edition of Sistahs Do Brunch was held in conjunction with the conference.
Consulting: Weekly meetings w/ co founders making recommendations on building web presence and reach
Sponsorship Coordinator: Brought in key sponsor: Cricket Wireless. GiftBag sponsors: Wine In A Can & Africa’s Best Kids Organics. Plus Celebrity TV Judge: Lauren Lake (Paternity Court) who appeared via Skype.
Speaker: Short morning introduction, participated on Social Media Panel and closing remarks with Melisa and Edeline
Vendor: My family participated with me by managing a booth selling my handmade scented Shea Butter – Sistah Buttah
The Key Note Speakers
Women from all over the country gathered for a day full of empowerment and motivation for women entrepreneurs. Our keynote speakers Jai Stone & Ronnie Tyler blew us away with their presentations. Jai Stone’s emotional speech focused on Purpose. She asked us why we weren’t answering the calls that we all have on our lives. It was very well received.
You can check her video out here:
Ronnie Tyler’s no nonsense lecture on The 3 P’s – Passion. Purpose. Profit. Was everything! She talked to us about defining our purpose and goals and encouraged us to invest in ourselves and our businesses. One of our bloggers, Briana Ford summed it up very well in her recap post. 4 Ways Women Entrepreneurs Can Rock

The Panels
This conference was packed FULL of information!! There were 3 panels: Branding & Social Media, Money & Business Growth, Authors As Experts. Each panel included 5 experts in their given field who gave valuable insight. Panelists included: Dr. Lisa Richardson, Moriah MorningStar, Lamar Tyler, Tarra Jackson, Melisa Alaba & Edeline Dryden to name a few. It was nice to get various methods and opinions on how to brand your business, how to make your business grow and how to use authorship to help promote. I really liked that there was Q & A at the end of each session. Conference participants were very active and asked great questions!
Paternity Court TV Judge Lauren Lake
It was an honor to have Judge Lake appear via Skype. Her message on Limitless Living came across loud and clear. She talked about stepping outside of your comfort zones to start living your best life. S/O to the WE Rock Tech Specialist: Ariel Alaba for keeping everything running so smoothly through out the event.

WE Rock 2014 ended with closing remarks from a panel that consisted of Edeline, Melisa and myself. Jaha Knight moderated questions that engaged us in a discussion about the future of Women Entrepreneurs Rock. Melisa and Edeline spoke of big plans coming down the pike for the organization. It was a joy and a pleasure to work with these two women. I would like to thank Melisa Alaba and Edeline Dryden for allowing me to be a part of their dream! I am looking forward to seeing what comes next.
