When I tell you that Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court is totally UNSCRIPTED, I speak from the experience of being there 1st hand and in person! What a pleasure it was to be invited out to witness the entire show! I have been a friend to the show Paternity Court since season one when they found me on Twitter tweeting about it last year. Since then, Cassandra Craven, the Social Media Producer has done everything she can to make me a part of the total Paternity Court experience. Including a chance to chat with Judge Lauren Lake on Google Hangout.
Initially filmed out of LA for the 1st season the entire cast and crew relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in June 2014. The name of the show changed from Paternity Court to Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court. To get the show’s number one fan (me) involved in some of the changes that have been made for the new season Cassandra gave me full access to not only the behind the scenes activities but I also got to be a real part of the show as a studio audience member. I can’t give away too much about the upcoming episodes but I can tell you to be prepared to have your gut wrenched and your heartstrings pulled. In total I experienced 3 episodes. One of which I was behind the scenes and the other two as audience member.
When Judge Lauren Lake came out, first of all let me say that she looked as flawless in person as she does on TV! Once the hearings proceeded what I saw was raw and real. There were no “cuts” or “takes”. It was ALL REAL! As usual Judge Lake laid down the law like only she can and she also expressed compassion and empathy where it was needed. Her emotional involvement is one of the things that sets this show apart from other paternity based shows. Season 2 is going to be amazing!
