The 18th Annual Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair, Health & Beauty Spring Show has come and gone. This is the worlds biggest and longest running natural hair show and lucky for me it takes place right here in Atlanta. People come from all over the world to attend this show and I have been going for years. It’s become more like a reunion for me now. Its a time where I can see some of my digital natural SistahFriends face to face plus meet a lot of the wonderful sistahs that follow “The SistahChick” on social media.
It was honor to be at the show this year representing Good Hair Salon/Good Hair in a Bottle. Owned by Danyale Thomas, Good Hair Salon, is a Seattle based salon that promotes natural hair health & maintenance. They have their own natural hair line called Good Hair in A Bottle which contains 4 products.
Good Hair is…Clean – Shampoo
Good Hair is…Nourished – Conditioner
Good Hair is…Radiant – Buriti Oil Mist
Good Hair is…Resilient – Styling Foam
I was given the full line to try out prior to the show. It is a wonderful line. The shampoo has suds even though its sulfate free (which I Love)! The conditioner has amazing slip and its a 4-in-1 meaning it can be used to condition, detangle, deep condition and as a leave in. The styling foam works wonderfully to refresh curls and also set styles. And last but not least the oil mist is perfectly scented and an amazing way to protect and add shine to your hair.
I had a great time at the show with Danyale and her super friendly staff: Marie, Eka and Rueben. It was a great experience. Good Hair Salon crew showed out for both days with LIVE hair demonstrations on all types of hair including loc’d, braided, and loose natural hair. With me on the mic hyping the crowd and spilling much knowledge about natural hair and the TRUE definition of “good hair” the stylists worked and showed their skills. Curious folks gathered around the booth all day to see what the Good Hair Crew was up to!
It was a Natural Hair MakeOver TAKEover!! Natural Hair styles were created using the full line of Good Hair in a Bottle products and each volunteer model walked away with a gorgeous new do.
In between stylings I had time to explore the show and
it’s always a pleasure to run into my Natural Hair Family.

Once my work was done I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that I too would be a hair model for the day and receive a TOTAL NATURAL HAIR MAKEOVER which included a blow out, cut and style!! I was so excited! Check out my video of that experience here:
I had a great time, made some new friends and came out with a new do. Can’t beat that at all. s/o to Good Hair in a Bottle.
