Whiskies of the World Atlanta – Dram Club
There was a major change that added to the fantasticness of Whiskies of the World this year. Introducing the Dram Club. What is a “dram” you ask? Well a dram is 1/16 of an ounce of whisky which is the size pour that you get when tasting.
The Whiskies of the World Dram Club was held at Atlanta’s ASW Distillery in the barrel room. The WoW Dram Club provides its members an intimate evening with whisky suppliers, distillers and special offerings. Club members who are Whiskies of the World ticket holders also got priority entrance to the main event the following day.
Event organizer, Douglas Smith, hosted Whiskies of the World Atlanta Dram Club and shared his knowledge with us on what to pay attention to when properly tasting whisky.
We had a blind tasting where we had to match each sample to a bottle.
Jardin Chocolate was in the house providing delicious chocolates for pairing.

It was a pleasure to meet @WhiskyRaj who was there with Indian Whisky. Amrut Single Malt Whisky was my favorite from the evening. It was smooth and sweet with a fruity bite at the end.
Overall the entire evening was a blast. Dram Club was an excellent preview event for Whiskies of the World Atlanta.
