I Tried CBD Oil for Thirty Days Straight: This is What Happened

I am sure you have heard of CBD Oil by now.  Every day a new state is loosening its laws regarding all things hemp or marijuana related. So you may have seen reference to it online or watched it on the news. I have been wanting to try CBD Oil for awhile.  I have heard so many positive reports on how good it is for symptoms of menopause among other things.  I was hoping to alleviate some of the symptoms that I am experiencing.

I had been hesitant to try just any CBD products because I did not know much about it.  There were things that concerned me such as the authenticity and efficacy of this product.  I scoured the internet for months looking for all of the information that I could find before even deciding that I wanted to try it.

The “CBD” in CBD stands for “Cannabidiol”.  Cannabidiol is a type of Cannabinoid that is derived from the Hemp Plant (Not the marijuana plant and not hemp oil).  It has minimal amounts of THC (less than 0.2%)so it does not get you “high” and it’s completely legal in most states.

I was super excited to receive a variety of CBD products from CBD Living.  This company has been in business for awhile and has a wide variety of CBD products.

After 30 whole days I have given each and every one of these products a try and I am ready to share the results.  Please note that this post focuses on the CBD Tincture aka CBD Oil.

I have spoken very extensively in the past about my Menopause journey and the symptoms that I have been suffering from.  I have conquered most of them like, weight gain and depression.  But there were a few symptoms that I could not shake no matter what I tried and that was Hot Flashes, Night Sweats and Insomnia.  I have been struggling so much with those three things that I had basically put my life on hold.  I’ve tried a lot of the go to herbal remedies such as Black Cohosh for Hot Flashes & Melatonin for Insomnia.  I have tried teas with Wild Yam and Echinacea.  I tried not eating red meat and not eating meat at all.  I even lost 20lbs but nothing seemed to work, that is, until I tried CBD Living 500 MG Tincture Oil.

I started by placing a half dropper full under my tongue in the morning. Just like any other sublingual concoction, under the tongue means, that it will get into your bloodstream faster.  The dropper size is 1ml.  As I went on about my busy day it took me awhile notice that I had gone hours without having a hot flash.  Through diet and exercise I had minimized them significantly from every 15 minutes daily to 5 – 8 times a day.  But I was still having them more than I wanted to.  After a full day with no hot flashes I went outside and did a little dance.  I felt like a Day Walker (vampire reference.  Look it up!)  At around 8pm in the evening on the same day, I noticed that I started to flash again so I took another half dropperful. I did not experience another heat flush for the rest of the evening. Once it got close to a normal bedtime I felt sleepy and guess what?  I went to sleep and slept for 7 hours straight!    I have not had anything near eight hours of sleep since I don’t know when. When I woke up the next day I felt completely renewed.  At this point we are talking only 24 hours of using CBD oil!

I continued to take CBD oil two times per day for the next 29 days.  Once in the morning and again in the evening.  I decreased the amount from 1/2 dropper full to 1/4 dropper full about 15 days in.  I did this mainly because I wanted to stretch it out to make sure it would last.  What I found is that a little goes a long way and you don’t need that much to benefit.  Throughout the remainder of the 30 days I enjoyed having little to no daily hot flashes. Taking them from 5-8 times per day to only once or twice per day. There was also marked decrease in night sweats and more. Other benefits included:

If it is hot outside I will still get hot, but i have gotten rid of 95% of the Hot Flashes (Sudden onset of heat) Overall, this CBD oil is a Godsend. This product along with daily diet and exercise has changed my life for the better.  I will continue to make CBD a part of my daily supplemental health regimen.  (This is one blog collaboration that I am truly thankful for!)

I gave the loose leaf teas and the Matcha tea a try as well.  All were used in cold brews with a tiny bit of agave added for sweetness.  They were very flavorful.  The mango was my favorite.  I would honestly drink them whether they had CBD in them or not. They were very refreshing on a hot day. I did not drink them every day but will continue to enjoy them throughout the summer as a cool refreshment.
