There is nothing I love more than attending fundraisers for good causes especially when it has to do with kids. Tower of Talent was one of those fundraisers. This yearly performing arts show was called, “From Beethoven to Broadway” and it featured Atlanta’s Most Talented Kids. This production was held at The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. It was a great show put on by kids to support the Music Therapy Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. It was sponsored by Tower Beer, Wine & Spirits.
I took my teenage daughter with me and we had a really great time. We were treated to a Celebrity Red Carpet and VIP reception that included a live orchestra and heavy hors d’oeuvres such as: Breaded Lamb Pops, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Chile Lime Chicken Skewers, Caesar Lettuce and an assortment of desserts. There was also a full bar and fun beverage and food stations for kids.
Tower of Talent featured Atlanta’s most talented kids ages 6 to 18 in a world-class concert and vocal performance. Over 140 kids performed! The show was emcee’d by Atlanta’s own Channel 11 Television Anchorwoman Brenda Wood and Master of Ceremonies Tom Sullivan. There was even a filmed welcome by celebrity and Georgia native Ryan Seacrest!
The celebrity red carpet was awesome and I got to meet the legendary boxer Evander Holyfield who was there to support the event.
Santa Was There!
These kids sang and danced their hearts out for a GREAT cause. They put together and amazing Broadway style production and you could just tell how much work they put into it.
Check out these young performers in action!
When it was all said and done Tower presented Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta a check for 1 million dollars!!
