I felt it only fitting to wait until the family spoke on this tragedy before I did any posting on this. It is with sadness that I report that Titi Branch one half of the Miss Jessie’s Natural Hair Empire passed away on December 4th, 2014. Titi, Along with her sister Miko, was one of the pioneers in the “natural hair movement”. As a longtime natural hair advocate I became familiar with these sisters and Miss Jessie products early on in the game. Their products are sold nationwide in major retail stores and are very popular. These were some of the first products made specifically for afro textured natural hair and was used by many at the beginning of their natural hair journeys. Miko has posted a very touching tribute on Facebook in remembrance of her dear sister and friend, Titi.
My sister touched many lives in a deeply meaningful way, and many of you have generously asked if there are additional ways in which you can be of assistance. I have 3 sisters and I can’t imagine what I would do if anything happened to them. My heart goes out to the family and I pray peace for them all as they get through this difficult time. May her legacy live on…
