It’s not often that I bring my hometown to my Atlanta based blog but it does happen sometimes. It happened when my cousin opened his business. It happened again when I traveled home last year for my class reunion. It will happen today because my son demands my support. He was so hyped when he called. He told me I had to watch this clip. His former Snider High School classmate, Christiana Hicks, turned 3 chairs during her Blind Audition on NBC’s “The Voice” last night with a very soul stirring rendition of Drake’s HotLine Bling. I am not an avid “The Voice” watcher but I do know what the premise of the show is and i also know that it is a BIG deal to turn 3 chairs which is exactly what this young lady did as soon as she opened her mouth. The three celebrity judges that turned their chairs around for her were Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkston. Comparisons to Ella Fitzgerald were made! This young lady has an amazing voice, she is gorgeous and I believe that she will have a very bright future.
I will definitely be tuning in to watch the rest of this season so that I can follow Ms Hicks. I hope to see her win the entire thing. Shout out to my hometown, Fort Wayne, Indiana for nurturing this winner! Good Luck to you Ms. Christiana Hicks!
