The only reason I watch the Superbowl is for the halftime show and the commercials. Yes it’s true. I don’t even know who is playing but I know that one of my favorite bands, Coldplay, will be the half time show and I know that one Small Business WON a 30 second commercial spot during the BIG GAME!
Death Wish Coffee Company Wins $5m SuperBowl Ad!
Intuit Quickbooks held their annual “Small Business Big Game” competition, a vote-based contest where they give away Superbowl ad space. Death Wish Coffee Co., a New York based, 11 employee coffee company entered and won! That’s right all they had to do to win is get enough people to vote for their commercial. The going rate for a 30 second spot during the 50th anniversary of Football’s Biggest Game is about $5 million dollars!

Death Wish Coffee Co.’s claim to fame is that they make “The World’s Strongest Coffee”. Their coffee has twice the amount of caffeine as a normal cup. Say What? I’ve never tried it but I am looking forward to doing so soon (i mean who doesn’t want to try coffee that has a skull & crossbones as it’s logo!?) I am just happy to report GREAT coffee related news!!

This just goes to show that you have to play to win and that small business everywhere deserve a shot at the BIG game!
