Culinary Fight Club Atlanta kicked the Summer off right with their first event of the 2019 season: The Blended Burger Battle! And yes, you best believe that I was back again to provide coverage!
Culinary Fight Club is a non profit organization that hosts cooking competitions all across the United States. All of the proceeds go to Fight2Feed.org. The venue generally provides Nosh and beer/wine. The Chefs provide delicious bites for everyone to taste. There are official judges who make their choice for the top chef. Attendees get tickets and get to make a Taster’s Choice decision on who the winners are by dropping their tickets in the ballot box of the chef of their choice. Each event has a different theme.
Blended Burger Battle
The Blended Burger Battle is just one of the many food competitions that is put on by Culinary Fight Club. The rules are simple; create any burger you want but you must use at least 25% mushrooms in each burger blend.
This year’s battle was held at The Spindle Kitchen on Auburn Avenue. It was a super hot Summer day but that did not stop the chefs or the grills from being fired up.
As you can see in my my Periscope Intro they were almost too hyped to talk!

Chef Kennedys lamb and grass fed beef burger was to die for! It had onions that were sauteed with mushrooms in Sam Adams beer. It was garnished with caramelized onions, lettuce, tomatoes and topped with a beautiful fig jam.
Like always everyone came together and had an amazing time.
This is my 2nd year covering this event. I just love everyone involved who work hard to make these Battles happen. All of the proceeds from this event go to Fight 2 Feed. A program to feed the homeless. So when you attend not only will you have a great time and get to taste some great food but you will also be benefitting a great cause.
