Madison Reed Color Bar ATL

I experienced a great hair adventure with Madison Reed Color Bar!  If you haven’t heard of them allow me to introduce you to the brand.  They are a new beauty brand challenging the hair color industry. Madison Reed started online with an at-home color kit and they are now expanding to physical locations across the country with their unique color only concept, Madison Reed Color Bar.

The thing that makes them unique is the fact that their product offers stunning semi permanent hair color that is free of harsh chemicals such as ammonia, PPD, resorcinol, parabens, phthalates, gluten, SLS, and titanium dioxide.

Madison Reed recently opened three Color Bars in the Atlanta area – The Forum (Peachtree Corners), Merchants Walk (Marietta) and Collection at Forsyth (Forsyth). You can now say goodbye to sitting in salons for 2+ hours and high priced rates and hello to beautiful hair color for just $55 – All in under an hour and a half.

I stopped by the Marietta location to receive my complimentary All Over Color and Blow Out.  Prior to my visit I went to madison-reed.com to find my perfect shade.   The site was sure to clarify that people with darker hair would not receive the same results as those with lighter hair.  I knew what I wanted once I arrived to the location.  I was greeted by Licensed stylist, Lisa, who was very knowledgeable about the brand and product.  She went through the color selection process with me and made sure I was happy with my color choice the color that I chose was called Sardinia Red.  As she applied the color she explained that the product contains many ingredients that condition the hair such as Argon Oil and Ginger Root as well as Keratin for strengthening.  The application process took less than 20 minutes.

I was then shifted to another area for a wash and blow out with Britney. Britney has magic fingertips and gave me an amazing wash/condition.  She spoke about all of the products that she used while working on my hair.  She was even kind enough to detangle my natural hair.  Instead of a blowout she offered to diffuse my wash n go instead.

The final result was great color and hair that felt very soft.  The color is not prominent, but in the right light it appears to have a dark reddish tint.  This is Sardinia Red on Black/Brown natural hair.  All of my gray hairs are completely covered.

I also left with the following color sustaining products:

Madison Reed Color Protecting Shampoo

Madison Reed Color Protecting Conditioner

Let’s Bounce Curl Defining Cream

I really enjoyed my visit in their bright beautiful salon.  The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the full brand.  I will be returning for the touch ups. It was nice to have someone else do my hair for a change!

The folks at Madison Reed Color Bar Atl would love to serve you at any one of their three locations!! Here is some incentive to try this out. Use code SISTAHCHICK for 10% off your scheduled Color Bar appointment or online order at  madison-reed.com (This offer ends 10/31/2020)
