I’ve been to Savannah many times and each time I am mesmerized by its beauty and charm. From its swinging Spanish Moss trees to its cobblestone streets, squares and river front views everything is just so picturesque. And the history. There is so much African American history there in its buildings and its monuments. Its just a great place to visit. On my last visit my friends (@JustRhee) and I made sure to take a ton of pics of the buildings and the architecture of the city.
Here are some of my favorites.
River Street
River Street has cobblestone streets and old buildings that line the Savannah River.
The 1st African Baptist Church
The history of this church is incredible. Built by African hands and still standing.
Savannah Water Ferry
Views from the Savannah Water Ferry leaving the Waving Girl Pier
Les Chasseurs
This monument honors Soldiers of African descent who fought in the American Revolution
Christ Church Episcopal
Savannah at Night
The city is beautiful at night too!
This beautiful city is only a 3.5 hour drive from Atlanta so its just a hop, skip and a jump away. I will return again to Savannah to explore and find new visual treasures to capture.
