My friends and I love to travel and explore so we decided to do something different and head to Savannah, Georgia for a little St. Patrick’s Day fun. We had heard that Savannah is the #2 location in the nation for largest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and since fun excursions is our thing we loaded up a bus and we headed to Savannah.   @JustRhee and I (@TheSistahChick)  have successfully planned and executed 2 amazing group get aways including:  Wine Brunch Tour ATL and The Love Tour ATL.  St. Patty’s Day Tour ATL (#StPattysDayTourATL) was our 3rd outing and it definitely won’t be our last!  We had so much fun!

We left bright and early Saturday morning.  We had a lively group of people who were happy to be greeted with Mimosas, Muffins and Swag.  Our drive was smooth as we made our way further south.  We parked at Savannah’s International Trade Center and caught the Water Ferry from the Waving Girl Landing over to River Street.  Once we got our armbands our group went their separate ways to explore the city. There was so much to do in Savannah.  I have been there and done a few touristy things before, but never on foot and during the biggest party of the year! We stopped by some amazing eateries and drinkeries and basically just enjoyed the sights and sounds of the crowded city.

We had fantastic drinks everywhere we went.  But Budlight kept the party going with a BOSS set up on River Street.

There were also plenty of cover bands giving us live music to dance in the streets to!!

And the food…  We stopped by a place called Tequila’s Town, Savannah’s only Tequila and Mezcal bar for the BOMB Margaritas and OMG Guacamole.  The guac was made table side right in front of us and it was the best that I have ever eaten.

The entire scene was just electric and so was the energy.  Everyone was so super friendly.  I didn’t witness any altercations or drama.  People of all races coming together for a weekend of music, food and fun.  Could major block parties be the key to world peace? Imagine that.

The scenery and architecture of the buildings in Savannah plus the African American history that exists there is content for an entirely different post.  Stay tuned. We saw some amazing things during the walking tour that we took.  Overall we had a really great time and that is because we were travelling with a really awesome crew of people.

A big thank you goes out to all of our assistants & attendees who chose to travel with us.  Please stay tuned to TheSistahCafe.com for more group tours/events recaps and more.
