Since I care nothing about the Super Bowl or football in general, I decided to invite my equally uninterested friends over for an At Home Wine Tasting with Cousiño-Macul. I figured this way I could kill 2 birds with one stone by getting out of my husband’s hair while he enjoys the game while entertaining my friends and tasting fabulous wines!
At Home Wine Tasting with Cousiño-Macul
I poured the following Cousiño-Macul wines:
Isadora Sauvignon Gris 2015
Chardonnay 2016
Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
My friends and I were able to taste each one of these beautiful wines in the privacy of my home with my daughter serenading us with her saxophone in the background.
Isadora Sauvignon Gris 2015
I enjoyed this sweet & fruity wine. I have tasted Sauvignon Blancs before but never a Sauvignon Gris. It was very refreshing. It was good to serve this one first sort of as an appetizer to the other wines.
Chardonnay 2016
This wine was very light and crisp like an apple. It paired very well with the Turkey & Baby Swiss Pannini’s that we served.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
This wine was serious and full bodied flavor. Dark in color and very berryful if that’s a word and I am sure that it is not. This wine paired perfectly with Chicken Wings and Beef Nacho dip believe it or not!
My guests really enjoyed my impromptu Wine tasting. All you need to have a wine tasting is a few different bottles of wine and a few fun friends. Voila
All of these wines are reasonably priced (Under $20) which is great if you are not looking to spend tons of money on delicious imported wine you should check out Cousiño-Macul.
