I love me some First Lady Michelle Obama. (#FLOTUS)It’s true. She is everything to me. She is Black. She is beautiful. She is educated. She is a positive role model. She loves her man. She can dance. But Michelle Obama is so much more than my BFF fantasy of her. She is a soldier for women and girls rights. A leader when it comes to encouraging the nation to eat right and stay fit. She cares about our communities from the inside out and realizes that there is no community without foundation. Foundation from within starting with our health. I admire her for it. That’s why I am so excited about her new hit single, “This is For My Girls.” Yes you heard right! Michelle Obama has collabed with artists such as Missy Elliott, Janelle Monae, Kelly Clarkston, Kelly Rowland, Zendaya and more to bring us this amazing anthem that promotes education for girls world wide.

We have a a problem in this world when it comes to our women and our girls. Not just in the United States but in just about every nation our girls are being abused, raped, molested, maimed, killed and denied education. I stay wondering how Woman: who brings forth life, can be treated like anything less than royalty by the world? This second class treatment of our girls has to stop.
