I attended the 2nd Annual Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival on behalf of the Atlanta Food & Lifestyle Blogger Society. All opinions are my own.
Now tell me, who does not enjoy a GOOD Grilled Cheese Sandwich? I know I do! If you enjoy Grilled Cheese and you missed the 2nd Annual Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival than you missed out. Plain and simple. This delicious festival of cheesy goodness was held at Brookhaven Park and yours truly was delighted to be there as a Tasting Judge.

First off it was was a perfect day for Grilled Cheese sandwiches because it was a HOT & humid 95 degrees. Everything was melting anyway so it might as well be cheese. Check my periscope intro:

This festival had 12 food vendors, 2 outdoor bars, live music on a big stage and of course the grilled cheese contest. There was two ways for participants to win. Tasters Choice and Judges Choice. The Judges scored on Best Classic and Best Melt. Sub categories were Cheese pull and presentation.
These were not your ordinary grilled cheese sandwiches I tasted Grilled Cheese sandwiches with pulled pork, buffalo wings, spinach & artichoke. I also tasted grilled cheese inside of waffles and crepes,
These are some of the food vendors that stood out to me:
Low Co Motion had me try their “Hot Mess” which is Bourbon & Brown Sugar glazed brisket, Pimento Cheese and the BEST homemade pickles I ever tasted! She had me at hello!
Flavor Rich Food Truck – CrabDip. GrilledCheese. plus a beautiful family to serve it. Need I say more? It was heavenly!
Bread Differently used Asiago Sourdough bread to bring out the flavors in his Chicken Margherita Pizza Grilled Cheese. As you can see by the “pull” the Mozzarella Cheese was in there!
Once the votes were tabulated all winners were called to the stage. It was an honor to be on the stage to help present these well deserved awards to the winners!

Outside of it being SUPER hot outside, I had a terrific time attending and judging this event. The Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival is only in its 2nd year. I cant wait to see what the organizers put together for next year.
