Past, Present, Future – 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE

I received this 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE from Toyota  for a 7 day test drive.  All opinions are my own.

Did I ever tell you that the first car that I ever purchased was a Toyota?  Yep, it was a 1984 Toyota Tercel. I paid $800 cash for it drove that thing until the wheels fell off!  It is for this reason that I am always excited about driving Toyota vehicles. Today I am going to talk to you about the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE

Things have certainly changed a lot since 1984.  Vehicles of today have become as important as our homes. After all many of us are spending as much time in our cars as we do in our houses.  That is why it is important that you own and vehicle that meets your needs.  For me those needs mean affordability, comfort, functionality and style.  The 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE hits the mark in every category.

Affordability

With an MSRP of $29,500 I would say that this vehicle is very affordable.  For that price you would be getting a vehicle that gets 46 MPG! This means that you will save approx $2,750 in fuel costs over the next 5 years (compared to the average new vehicle).  I am always impressed with the improvement that Toyota has made with its Hybrid Technology. It uses electricity until you hit 40MPH then it uses gas.

Comfort

For me comfort was not a problem.  Standard offerings included Leather Trimmed Steering Wheel. The 6-Way Power Driver’s Seat made it very easy to get comfortable quickly.  The backseat was spacious for extra passengers and had plenty of legroom.

Functionality

As of July 1st the State of Georgia has implemented a new law that says that you cannot touch your phone at all while driving.  The Entune 3.0 Audio w/connected Navigation and Voice Command. Because of the Blue Tooth, USB and AUX you can sync your SmartPhone and answer it from the steering wheel.  Cruise Control and Audio also can be controlled from the steering wheel which keeps you Hands Free for your entire drive.

Style

This sedan was a sleek beauty.  Galactic Aqua Ash is the color for this model. It screams luxury.  Toyota did not skimp on the luxury features like:  18 in Alloy wheels, Dual Chrome Tips and Daytime Running Lights.

I had a great time with this test drive.  Toyota has brought the Camry back year after year for a reason. They are keeping it relevant by providing what customers want plus innovative Hybrid Technology to enhance in the future.
