Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill in One Word: Scrumptious!

Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill hosted us for dinner.  All opinions are my own.

What a pleasure it was to experience Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill VIP Style.  I had never heard of this restaurant prior to receiving the dinner for two invitation.  When I posted on Instagram that I would be going I got a lot of great feedback which made me even more excited!  My husband and I decided to make a date night out of it. We visited the Roswell location.  Getting there in Atlanta traffic during rush hour was an absolute chore.  I was so happy to arrive to a smiling hostess face and a cozy atmosphere.  I took note of the roaring fires immediately and we settled in for a good time.

Once we were seated our server, Oriana, immediately took our drink orders and recommended the Whiskey Shrimp on Country Toast as an appetizer.  The Stoney Creek Steakhouse menu includes a variety of steak and seafood dishes.  My husband went with the Whiskey Shrimp and I chose “The Original” Seasoned Jumbo Lump Crab Cake.  The Crab Cake wasn’t really a cake but it was ALL crab.  Each bite was deliciously full of tender lumps of crab and the caper sauce was divine.

Hubby loved the Whiskey Shrimp on Country Toast.  Its Jumbo Shrimp Flame Sauteed with Whiskey and finished with a mustard cream sauce.  He said it was the best shrimp dish that he’s ever tasted!  I enjoyed a taste of it too.

The appetizers were quickly followed by Stoney River House Salads.  A beautiful bowl stacked full of the freshest green leaves, croutons, chopped eggs, cheese and roma tomatoes.  I adore a good salad and this one was crunchified heaven.  An enormously loaded Baked Potato landed on our table at some point as well! I was honestly full by the time the Steaks came!  The portions are very big!

Of course you have to have Steak at a Steakhouse!  He selected the Bone In “Cowboy Cut” 22 oz. Ribeye Steak with Creamed Spinach and Loaded Baked Potato.  I selected the Filet Medallion with Crab Cake (because I couldn’t get enough of it!) and the Mac and Cheese.

Every single bite was mouth watering.  I’m one of those weirdos who like just a bit of pink in my steak and it was prepared Medium Well just exactly the way I like it! It was the juiciest most succulent steak that I have ever eaten!

Just when I thought things just couldn’t get any better, they brought out the dessert menu.  It consisted of:  Creme Brulee, Carrot Cake, Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Fudge Cake.  Not a ton of options but to me you don’t need a lot of different choices when you KNOW that each thing is gonna be scrumptious.  We chose the Carrot Cake and two forks.

Over all we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant, the ambiance and most importantly the food!  It was indeed scrumptious from the first bite to the last bite.  We will definitely be back.  Thanks to Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill for inviting us out!
