Natural Skin Care ~ Apple Cider Vinegar Facial Toner Recipe

I use a wonderful DIY natural tonic for my skin and I love it so much I have to share it. I really love the way my skin feels after using it. It makes my face feel fresh.  This is a wonderful follow up to The Oil Cleansing Method. Since I make this myself I know exactly in it.  It’s also virtually free compared to the prices of many commercial facial toners since most people have the ingredients at home.  Every ingredient that I have included in this recipe serves a specific purpose for my own skin which is oily and T-zonish.  I encourage you to play around with it to develop your own DIY concoction.  It is achievable.

Apple Cider Vinegar Facial Toner Recipe

2 oz Apple Cider Vinegar

6 oz Water

6 drops Tea Tree Oil

4 drops of Peppermint Oil

Add all of these ingredients together in a non porous container that has a lid.  Do not mix or shake.  To blend the ingredients just roll the container around in your hands or flip it up and down.

Apply with a cotton ball after cleansing daily and allow it to dry before applying a moisturizer. (I use it following Oil Cleansing) Can also be used in between cleansings.

Each ingredient serves a purpose…

Apple Cider Vinegar Lowers the PH level which softens and tones the skin.  It also assists with tightening the pores and with fading blemishes.

Tea Tree Oil is an astringent, antibacterial it cleanses the skin, soothes inflammation

Peppermint Oil It helps to control oil by decreasing its production.  Invigorates the skin cells.  Makes the skin feel tingly but should not burn.

This all natural toner is perfect for adults and teenagers and is inexpensive and chemical free!  I have been using it for years.  Anytime I want to take a break from harsh cleansers I reach for my oils to cleanse and this toner.

  1. Hey, I went out and got some additional ingredients for my oil cleansing trial. I was wondering after using your ACV toner, or cleansing in general what are you using for a moisturizer?
