International Natural Hair Meet Up Day (INHMD) is a worldwide natural hair event founded in 2012 by Adeea Rogers, a.k.a. The Trendy Socialite. Participants are all encouraged to hold natural hair meet ups in their respective locations all on the same day. The title sponsor of the entire event was none other than Koils by Nature. Events were happening all over the world on this day, even in Japan I heard. May 17th, 2014 was the date for all meetups and Atlanta was the place for me. Carnella Harvey aka Natural Hair Freedom hosted the event here and I had a terrific time. I have been wanting to participate in one of her MANY events for a LONG time so I was excited about her hosting INHMD for Atlanta.
The event was held at StudioPlexx47 and there were plenty of natural hair beauties in the place to share and receive information, knowledge, prizes and more.
Every hour sponsored prizes were given away while scheduled speakers enlightened us with their insight. Master Barber Will Williams of Sof N Free products was in the house to share his extensive natural hair knowledge.
Altonia Fowler-Dugar aka Naturally Lupie was there and spoke to us about her personal battle with Lupus. I was blown away by her story and her courage.

There were many vendors available with everything from natural hair products to t-shirts and jewelry.
All in all it was a great event, full of positive people and I really enjoyed myself. Thanks to Natural Hair Freedom for hosting such an awesome event for us here in Atlanta.
