Being the recovering product junkie that I am I must say that I have fallen off the wagon when it comes to trying new things. I know a lot of you more seasoned “naturals” feel that ones love to try new products stems from being a natural hair newbie. I beg to differ. I just love trying new things. Just because something is your favorite thing today don’t mean its going to be your favorite thing tomorrow! With that being said I am uber excited to be reviewing the Nexxus Salon Hair Care Ultimate Moisture line. First things first here is a list of the products that I received:

I started by simply using each product as instructed. I washed with the Ultimate Moisture Shampoo which has great lather and smells amazing. I applied the Ultimate Moisture Conditioner that has nice slip and again smells fantastic. I followed with the Deep Conditioning Treatment and ended with the Ultimate Moisture Leave in Spray.
I was glad to have been given almost a full month to review these products. I don’t feel like a good and honest review can be given by only using a product one time. I must say that my results from the initial trial were definitely pleasing. After following all of the steps I tried 2 styles.
The 1st style was a “blow out”
I used a blow dryer on my damp hair. My goal was not to get it bone straight but simply to show a little length. My hair was sooo soft after this process and it was full of body!
The 2nd style was a “twist out”
I twisted my dry hair one evening using the Ultimate Moisture Leave in Spray to moisten my hair before twisting. This is a pic of the twist out on dry hair.
The 3rd style was a “Bantu knot out”
For my next trial I did a “Co-Wash” (conditioner only cleaning) using only the Ultimate Moisture Conditioner – Deep Conditioning Treatment and ended with the Ultimate Moisture Leave in Spray. (No Shampoo) After this process I twisted my hair and allowed to air dry for a day. Once it was dry I added some oils and this time I installed Bantu Knots. The next day I was left with mounds of beautiful natural curls and JUST in time for my photo shoot! It made me wonder why I haven’t always used Nexxus! Thank goodness for my product junkyism!
After using this product in various ways for about a month my natural hair is left feeling SUPER soft. It smells FANTASTIC and I love it! Nexxus products also play well with other products so I will definitely be using them again.
