New Atlanta Eatery: Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar

I visited Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar on behalf of Atlanta Food & Lifestyle Blogger Society.  All opinions are my own.

What do you get when you cross a trendy hamburger joint that serves delicious shakes and pies, hip aesthetics, and fine wine and cocktails? Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar that’s what!

All of Dunwoody came out for the pre opening of the new Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar located on Ashford Dunwoody Road. Everybody including the Mayor and several councilmen were in the house. It was a standing room only crowd and we were all there for one thing…To see what Zinburger had to offer.  Zinburger is self titled as a Wine & Burger Bar but they offer so much more.  Items like shakes, fries, salads and pies to name a few.

While there we got to try a variety of menu items.  Starting with Wine and Cocktails (of course) I felt perfectly comfortable in their trendy atmosphere that included Chalkboard walls, flat screens and dimmed lights.  After the wine came a treasure trove of food. Here is what we got to taste:

Appetizers:  Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, Onion Rings w/BBQ Sauce, Double Truffle Fries

Greens: Napa Salad, Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, Chinese Chicken Salad

Burgers: Zinburger, el Diablo, Kobe Burger, Seared Ahi Sandwich

Shakes & Pies: Creme Brulee, Strawberry Cheesecake, Banana Royale

Cocktails: Zin Margarita, Red Sangria, Pineapple Daquiri

Wine:  Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir

Of course Im gonna say everything was excellent, and it really was, but here are the menu items that stood out to me.

I am a Truffle Fry Lover.  There I said it.  If they are present on a menu I order it.  So I know when they are good and when they are not.  These Double Truffle Fries were piping hot with plenty of “truffle” were seasoned perfectly and delicious.

I like my salads simple, so the Napa Salad stood out to me.  It contains:  Mixed greens, Iceberg lettuce, Dried Cranberries, Marcona Almonds, Goat Cheese and Goat Cheese vinaigrette.  It was fresh, crunchy and tasty.

Out of all the burgers that we got to try my husband and I both agreed that the Zinburger was the one that stood out the most.  It has melted Manchego Cheese, Zinfandel braised onions, lettuce and mayo on top of a seasoned beef patty with a Brioche bun.  It was melt in your mouth good!  (If you prefer Kobe beef you can upgrade your burger, there is also a veggie burger available but I didn’t taste that.)

The Strawberry Cheesecake shake was so thick, creamy and good.  If I could only go inside to order just a shake, I would still go in.

In the midst of everything being served we were offered unlimited wine and cocktails.  I enjoyed the Pinot Grigio it was a great palette cleanser. When I roamed around the restaurant I saw that they had a wide variety of wines available.  The cocktails were very good.

Overall, I think Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar will do well in that location.  That part of town loves trendy and non traditional.  The prices are reasonable and the food and drinks are good.  With such great food, that well stocked bar and variety of wines I see this as great place to dine out with family or hang out with friends.
