There was so much to do in Atlanta Labor Day weekend! The 4th Annual Riverdale Seafood & Music Fest was one of those activities. Spending time with my family at this year’s festival was a no brainer. The festivities kicked off with “A Taste of Riverdale” which took place a few days prior to this annual summer soiree. Here we were met by the Mayor of Riverdale, Evelyn Wynn-Dixon and the city council for a meet and greet PLUS a taste of some of the delicacies that would be available at the event.
The City of Riverdale pulled out ALL the stops for this years event. Thousands of people showed up before, during and after a major thunderstorm in support of this social occasion. There was something for EVERYone but especially for the kids. The thing I love most about this whole event is the fact that this was something that the WHOLE family could enjoy.

Little Boy Enjoying the LIVE Music!
The Music was amazing! The artists put in work as they belted out old and new school sounds. Atlanta media icon, Monica Pearson, The Mayor and KISS 104.1 Sasha the Diva were the MC’s. Those high energy ladies put it down and kept the crowd engaged. Celebrity appearances included India Irie! It was really cool to hear the mayor singing Teddy’s Jam and to hear Monica Pearson speaking to India about how much she loves her music. Music connects us all. I loved it.
Can we talk about the FOOD for a minute? First let me say that I am a Festival Foodie or a Food Truck Foodie. In other words, I love it. The more the better and the more diverse even better. Some of my favorite trucks were in the house like Sno Bayou.
In the Vendor Village there were many entrepreneurs sharing their items and crafts.
There was major Big brand representation at this shin dig as well! Toyota of Union City had a strong presence as the official vehicle of KISS 104.1 and with the AWESOME 4 Runner that they had displayed.

It was an honor to be an invited guest of this wonderful affair and I will definitely be in attendance for years to come. I appreciate The Garner Circle PR for the media invite.
