The Simply Italian Great Wines Americas Tour was, simply great!
Press and wine industry trade leaders gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale where your first gaze was a beautiful blue sky looking down on the waves of the ocean scurrying on the beach welcoming you.

The seminars were extensive with a wealth of knowledge on the wineries and their families history as well as the origin, the vineyards location and the wine making process. After hearing the experiences, knowledge and the dedication taken to procure such fine, some smooth, full-bodied, others that are fresh and creamy or dry and aromatic wines is like an expedition not for the faint at heart.
I say that to say this in the words of James Beard Foundation award-winning food and wine writer and wine expert Lyn Farmer,
Does anyone drink out of a flute anymore? Flute, if you fill it up high you have nowhere to put your nose.
As you can see, a few things stood out to me about these wine experts and I will share just one or two more so you can understand the level of expertise that engaged us.
Ricci Curbastro Francicorta presented by Dr. Riccardo Ricci Curbastro gave a seminar on the Francicorta D.O.C.G origin. One in particular stood out to me. Francicorta D.O.C.G. Dosaggio Zero Gualberto 2010.

This composition is 70% Pinot Nero and 30% Chardonnay a bright yellow color combined with a whiff of sweet fruit, a touch of citrus combined with nuttiness you are instantly eager to taste this fresh and creamy blitz on your palate.
I was already tasting this without producing it - Riccardo Ricci Curbastro
Pairing Suggestion: Hors d’oeuvres, Pasta with seafood.
D.O.C. Delle Venezie: Pinot Grigio, Stile Italiano presented by Sommelier Charlie Arturaola a global wine expert and judge gave a seminar and spoke so charismatically about Pinot Grigio Stile Italiano.
The Delle Venezie application is responsible for 85% of the Italian production.
The Corte Giacobbe Pinot Grigio Ramato 2019 made in Verona is 100% Pinot Grigio and is bottled 100,000 annually.
Glassy to the eye, the floral notes and tropical fruit scents permeate the nose. It’s crisp and full-bodied silky-smooth taste will leave you feeling fulfilled.

Mongioia presented by Riccardo and Maria Bianco. Currently the sixth generation of the Bianco family spoke on specializing in improving and the making of the wine process. Their winery located in Santo Stefano Belbo in a province of Cuneo, Italy is producing elegant wines using the white Muscat.
Moscata Moscato to D’Asti D.O.C.G. 2019 uses the Anphora wine making process and is 100% Moscato Bianco and produces 5,300 annually.
A light golden yellow color with endless bubbles. The exotic fruit and floral hints with a touch of lemongrass are pleasant to the palate. The bubbles are only a summons for more of the pleasantries to come with the sweet and savory touch of this Organic wine.

For my own reasons that of which I’d been reminded of during a conversation with a lovely media regional director. As a lover of red wines the tannins have proven to be my kryptonite. They are lovely and so delectable but deprive me of my powers.
A Pinot Grigio, Moscato D’Asti or Pinot Nero/Chardonnay is a finer choice as it responds better with my alchemical harmony.
