The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. - MECCA Chapter (NCBW-MECCA) hosted its 13th annual scholarship fundraiser on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Atlanta City Hall Atrium. The scholarship event raised money for young ladies and also recognized the accomplishments of African-American women in education, arts and cultural affairs, corporate and community service.

This will be an exciting homecoming for this artist for a Great cause! You may recall my coverage of this awesome program last year when I got to interview media mogul Mr. Steve Harvey who partnered with Coca-Cola and was in town to motivate the 2015 participants. Last year, Coca-Cola awarded 22 teens a $5,000 scholarship and an invitation for them and their guardians to attend the Academy.
