National Coffee Day 2016
National Coffee Day is a day that unites coffee lovers from all over the world! It’s a day when the snarkiest of us can proudly raise our sarcastic mugs high!! That’s right! National Coffee Day! September 29th only comes once a year folks. Its a Java Day and we have to celebrate.
My love for coffee started with the love of my Mother and my Grandmother. I grew up listening to them quietly getting dressed for work every morning so as not to wake us up. I remember the beautiful smell of that Dark Roast as it filled the house every day. It really was the best part of waking up for me. Running down after they had gone to find their mugs half full of warm coffee sweetened with sugar and just a bit of cream. I carried that tradition on with my kids and I can’t help but smile every time one of them THOUGHT they were sneaking a sip of mine when I wasn’t looking. These days whenever I smell coffee I think of my granny who has since passed on. My mother and I now get together once a week to discuss life over a cup of joe. I find comfort in it. It makes me happy. From the first sip to the last drop.
