I turned on the news this morning to this story and I just had to give my commentary. The gist of it is this apparently at West Point Military Academy when you are getting ready to graduate you pose for a class photo. Like previous cadets before them these young African American female cadets got together for their photo and this was the result.
I got to attend an exclusive screening of episode two of CNN’s UNITED SHADES OF AMERICA starring comedian W. Kamau Bell. United Shades of America is a documentary that takes a large black man with a fro and places him in situations that you might not expect him to be in. It really examines ways of life in America that we may never see.
