NObody adores T.J. Maxx (or a GOOD sale) more than I do!! Designer merchandise at affordable prices is everything. I take FULL advantage of Atlanta’s abundance of T.J. Maxx store in Atlanta is, because I don’t want ya’ll bombarding my space!! Goodies for me are deeply discounted designer items that fit my … Continue reading

Atlanta Jazz Festival 2013

You never have to spend a lot of money in Atlanta to have fun. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is just another one of those fantastic events that caters to families. Free of charge and on the MARTA line, packing up our blanket and heading to Piedmont on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon was a no brainer. There were crowds of people walking from the MARTA station to the park and I had a good time chatting as we trekked our way to the venue. We saw … Continue reading

The May FitChick Challenge

I swore that I’d never ever get involved in any online “challenges”. There are a LOT of them. You’ve got Cinnamon Challenges, Hair Growth Challenges, Instagram Daily Pic Challenges, Salad Challenges, you name it and there’s a “challenge” for it. So when I got an email from my fellow blogging colleague @4cHairChick about another “challenge” I won’t lie, I rolled my eyes. But then I actually took the time to read what she was proposing and by the time I got done reading … Continue reading
10 Reasons Why You Should Not Continue To Have Sex With A Man That Will Not Marry You

Listen ladies. After listening to several conversations had by my female relatives and friends …I felt the need to create this list. This list ONLY applies to those of you that want to be in committed relationships and/or get married. If you dont…? Not for you. I aint got nothing against single people hooking up with no strings IF that is what they BOTH want. This is for those of you who are in long term-sex mostly-aaand you want more relationships. Capiche? Reason #1: STD’s. … Continue reading
Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint ~ Atlanta
Do you believe in love at first sight? I hope so that you can understand what I felt when I happened into Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint last night! I immediately fell IN LOVE with this poppin spot located on the corner of Peachtree & Ellis St (Midtown). When I think of a “Juke Joint” I think about The Color Purple and that raggedy place they built in the swamp that was packed EVERY weekend, because they had the best music and food. It was the … Continue reading

My Natural Hair Journey

If you haven’t recognized by my pic already, I am one of them “Natural” Sistahs. The word “Natural” refers to my hair and the fact that I do not perm it or alter my nappy hair texture by straightening it. I have been natural since 2006. My natural hair journey has been in the making for many years I believe. Taking the step to actually make it happen came in waves (no pun intended)before i decided that I was going to do it. Here is … Continue reading
