Enrique Iglesias & PitBull Tour Hits Atlanta Sponsored by Cricket Wireless (@CricketNation)

I had a great time attending a concert featuring Enrique Iglesias & PitBull. This was my first time checking out Latino artists in concert and I am now a new fan of their sound. Oh yes these two super handsome Latin men did the damn thing while in Atlanta for their tour. Sponsored by Cricket Wireless I was more than happy to attend as their invited guest. Gwinnett Center had a full house and it was an exciting show. The concert opened with J.Balvin who … Continue reading

Halle Berry Takes Her Ex To Court For Straightening Their Daughter’s #NaturalHair

Hot off the press!! (No pun intended). Apparently, Halle Berry thinks that her ex is trying to erase their daughter’s African American heritage by not only straightening, but also lightening Nahla’s natural hair. Say What? According to E! News Online, Oscar winner, Berry, was represented by attorneys in court against her ex Gabriel Aubry and hashed out this disagreement. Nahla is 6 years old and the product of Halle Berry who is (mixed race) Black and her ex, Gabriel Aubry who is white. Straightening our … Continue reading
{Product Review} Juka’s Organic Palm Oil Soap

I got to try out this Juka Organic Palm Oil Soap. This soap smelled really good and natural. It also lathered up very well. I did not use it on my face, although the bar says that its good for acne and skin aging. I used it on my body because I liked the lather and smell. I enjoy hand crafted items and I was pleased at the rustic-hand made look of the bar. Here is a little more info about the soap from the … Continue reading

Easy Way To Cook A Turkey Using A Cooking Bag - Oven Roasted Perfection (#ThanksGiving)

The first time I had to cook Thanksgiving Dinner was when my mom had surgery many years ago. Although, I had watched her tediously prepare many delicious, mouth watering meals I had never actually asked her how she was doing this. All of the ingredients were there but I had no idea what to do with them and she was bedridden at the time. This was before the internet. (So yeah that first time = FAIL) After many years of failed attempts and dried out … Continue reading

First let me start by saying that I am an AVID listener and fan of Mary J. Blige. I have been listening to her since What’s the The 411?. In fact, My husband and l fell in love to What’s the 411?. I raised my kids as a single mother to My Life, I rekindled the romance with my future husband to Share My World and we started our marriage to No More Drama. I could go on but I won’t. Mary J. Blige can … Continue reading
ABC’s #Blackish Brings #NaturalHair to Prime Time TV!
Tonight’s episode of ABC’s Black-ish was quite hilarious. In it’s first season Black-ish is already slaying me with its cultural commentary. Guest star Jenifer Lewis showed up to portray who else, but Dre’s meddlin mother. She is perfect because she is the consummate Black mother and she has played “Mother” to half of Black Hollywood. From the aunt on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air to Michael’s mother in Think Like A Man Too! She WILL be playing my mother when they make the movie … Continue reading
Blue Ivy’s Baby Afro - Perfection at Auntie Solange’s Wedding #naturalhair #BreakTheInternet
Yes, Yes! Yaaas! Solange Knowles got married to Alan Ferguson and #BrokeTheInternet with her clothes on! She was indeed stunning. I LOVE love her eclectic style and her and hubby look like Futuristic African Royalty in these wedding pics that are ALL over the internet. Solange’s Afro styled natural hair made me love her even more. So many of us are afraid to rock our natural hair at weddings. I am glad that Mrs. Knowles -Ferguson is setting style and trending as an example of … Continue reading
