I decided to drive out to Historic Roswell on Sunday to check out my friends over at the Green Yoni Boutique. The Green Yoni Boutique is a holistic wellness boutique for women and is also the home of the V Bar. For those of you not familiar with the V-Bar its is an all natural feminine hygiene soap that is known for it gentle cleansing and healing properties. The V Bar was created by the boutique’s owner Ms. Tanya Tibbs aka “The V Bar Lady“. I just love Tanya, her motto is:
“Gotta keep the pocketbook clean!”
So when I heard that one of my favorite people and mentor, Tarin Boone was hosting an event at her spot I had to get over there.
One of the things that we as women often neglect is ourselves. Some, not all women, feel the need to take care of EVERYone except themselves. We care for our husbands, our households, our children, our parents, our siblings, etc. and at the end of the day we are the last thing that we are concerned with. Wine, Wellness & You was simply a discussion on wellness & nutrition . A small group of women gathered on a beautiful Sunday in a quaint little shop to sip wine provided by Friends Fun Wine in a Can and have an open and honest conversation about issues that affect women’s health.

Tarin and her mother Glenda Boone did a fantastic job of opening up discussions on all of these subjects. There was a an awesome video presentation on the dangers of processed food & also some printed information to take away. We were able to try out some of the liquid vitamin supplements. We talked about the importance of physical activity and eating properly for weight loss. And we did this all while we sipping on Wine in A Can and munching on healthy snacks. We even got a professional bra fitting from Professional Image Consultant + Bra Fitter, Iris Gathing!! I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Atlanta has a plethora of small and hugely beneficial events that cover any and all topics, you just have to want the knowledge.
