It’s time for the March edition of #VirtualWineTour! The SistahChick & Friends is pleased to be joining Winegrowers Association of Georgia for their annual Wine Highway Week 2017.  Wine Highway Week 2017  happens March 24th – April 2nd.  It is an amazing event that allows its attendees to experience the beauty of Georgia’s wine country while tasting exquisite homegrown wines.

Wine Highway Week

There are 21 wineries involved this year and here is how it works.  Stop at any one of the participating wineries and you will purchase a “Wine Passport”.  You will also receive a complimentary “Wine Week” glass.  From there you will have access to 21 distinct and diverse wineries who are all waiting to serve you.  At each winery you will taste 5 wines and you have an entire week to do so!  All of them are located in Northeast Georgia, the land of vineyards, mountains, waterfalls and scenic views from Dahlonega – Rabun Gap.

Our wineries offer great wines that are grown and produced here in Georgia, many of which have won local, regional, national and international awards. – GeorgiaWine.com

Each winery will provide their own unique open-house format, with some offering food and wine pairings, music, barrel and library wine tastings.

My team and I are hitting the highway for a day trip and will be engaging with some of these wineries. I have selected the ones we will be visiting based on location and wine type.  You will have to tune in to see where.  We are happy to be starting our tour at our favorite place, Cavender Creek Vineyards and Winery.  We’ll be bringing our entire experience to you LIVE through our social media channels.
