Special thanks to Vino Venue! We got to visit this wonderful establishment last month for a wine event with Bodega Renacer. How sweet were they to invite us back out for a Private Menu and Wine Tasting. Since it coincided with our anniversary week celebration they made the evening extra special for my husband and I.
Vino Venue Menu Tasting
Vino Venue is a really cool Dunwoody establishment that is a restaurant, cooking school and wine shop. They offer shared plates, tastings, wine by the glass and all in a terrific space surrounded by wine!
Upon arrival we were greeted with glasses of wine and immediately seated at a table that was covered with several menu items!
Here are the menu items that we got to taste:
Salads:
Arugula Salad – Citronette, goat cheese, roasted pumpkin, toasted pepitos
Kale Caesar Salad – Roasted tomato parmigiano reggiano, croutons
Plates for Sharing:
Basil Chicken Flatbread – Caramelized onion, basil pesto, fontina, tomato, arugula, balsamic glaze
Smoked Salmon Quesadilla – Marscapone, goat cheese, onion, corn, cilantro, chipotle cream
Shrimp & Grits – Andouille sausage, cream, roasted garlic
Desserts:
Dark Chocolate Pot De Creme w/ Chantilly cream
Red Velvet Brownie w/ Cream cheese ice cream
Wine Selection:
Jacques Pelvas Brut Rosé
I had a great time meeting and speaking to Executive Chef Patric about the menu. He is the mastermind behind every dish. He pays close attention to the sights and sounds of the city and bases a lot of his recipes on that. So you will find southern cuisine fused with fresh salads, flatbreads and light bites. The menu is seasonal and does change.
We loved every dish. But our favorites were the Kale Caesar Salad, Shrimp & Grits which Chef Patric PUT HIS FOOT in and the Basil Chicken Flatbread.
