Pajama Program, a national non-profit organization that supports every child’s right to a good night for a good day. They serve children in every state through their main office in New York.
We were front and center for the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening of the Atlanta location. The new center is located on Bill Kennedy Way. In the house also were First Lady of Georgia Sandra Deal, Pajama Program Founder Genevieve Piturro and Michael D. Casey, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Carter’s Inc.
Pajama Program Reading Center is led by a dedicated staff and offers a variety of programming for children from preschool through high school. Children will be able to express themselves through reading and will be showered with time and attention. Each child will be celebrated for their daily accomplishments and will receive the gift a book and pajamas before leaving. Reading is at the core of every Pajama Program Reading Center.
Often, these pajamas and books are the first new things these children have ever received. – Genevieve Piturro, -Pajama Program Founder and Executive Director
It was a nice afternoon and my daughter and I really enjoyed interacting with the teen reading program with Actor Sergio Joachim from The Quad. Lunch was provided by Chic Fil A. Each child received, Pajamas from the CEO of Carters, BOOKS and Gift bags which included items from Target, Elf on A Shelf and more.
A reading center is a wonderful addition to any community. This one has it all; a shiny new open space, BOOKS, and art covered walls. All it needed was beautiful, curious children to fill that space. I am excited to see what this interactive reading establishment does for Atlanta.
