Natural Hair Freedom & The Lupie Chick
I had a WONDERFUL time at The Natural Hair & Beauty Quarter Auction. It was my first time attending a natural hair event of this kind. They were auctioning off donated natural hair products and 100% of the proceeds went to benefit The Lupus Foundation. This event was hosted by none other than Carnella Harvey of Natural Hair Freedom and Altonia Dugar aka “The Lupie Chick“. It was held at the eclectic Urban Grind Cafe.
It was a FULL house as each guest came in and got ready to let the bidding begin. We enjoyed coffee and the BEST sandwiches as we mingled. I truly love natural hair events. There were many beautiful textures in the place.

Once the actual auction began excitement could not be contained as the ladies bid HARD for the items that they wanted. Bidding started at just .50 cents for most items and $1 – $5 for others. Since so many sponsors donated products there was PLENTY of goodies to choose from. It was a product junkies dream!
Sistah Buttah was auctioned off too! It was very exciting.
We also got to see demos as well as hear from some of the CEO’s of the companies that donated products. Pamela Jenkins of Koils By Nature and Jeannell Darden of Coco Curls were both present to share products and information. I really enjoyed the Puff Cuff demo.
It was a great day, and awesome event with beautiful people. Best of all 100% of the proceeds from this auction will help bring awareness to Lupus. Thank you to Natural Hair Freedom and The Lupie Chick for inviting me out. I can’t wait until the next one!
