2017 TCFStyle Expo Teen Ambassador Takeover!

It was an honor to be able to act as chaperone for the Teen Ambassadors of this year’s TCFStyle Expo. The TCFStyle Expo is an annual event that celebrates Plus Size fashion and beauty.  It is hosted by none other than, Marie Denee aka The Curvy Fashionista – queen of the plus sized fashion blogging world.  This Expo boasts vendors, panels, fashion shows, brunches and more!  Last year my daughter and I attended and had such a great time.  It was a really positive event for her.  So when the TCFStyle Expo Media Coordinator, Pepper Martin, asked if I could get more involved this year it was on!  We selected 3 more beautiful teen girls to bring to this event!

These young ladies were selected based on online entries.  Each of these girls exemplify academic excellence, leadership and citizenship in their communities. Without further ado, Meet the TCFStyle Expo Teen Ambassadors: Rising Sophomore Samaya Taylor, Rising Junior, Katilyn Kyles and rising Junior, Lyric Eschoe. We were joined by Katilyn’s Mom, Monique Beckwith. The girls were so excited and so was I to meet them early Friday morning for brunch.  We met at Cobb Galleria Centre and quickly made introductions before we headed in to the VIP Blogger Brunch. The keynote speaker for this brunch was YSB Founder, Natasha Eubanks.

We enjoyed a beautiful brunch along with all of the other gorgeous attendees.  Many of them stopped by our table to say hello and encourage the girls.  The TCFStyle Expo Teen Ambassadors wasted no time and jumped right in!  Miss Katilyn Kyles got expert social media advice when she stood up to ask her question about how to engage her new YouTube audience.

The Red Carpet was a favorite activity for all of the girls and there were plenty of step and repeats around to indulge them.  The loved signature wall and all of the vendors that were in the house!  They got to see a lot of fashions that were appropriate for girls their age as well as talk to some of the many woman owned business that were there.  They received awesome swag as well.

Katilyn was excited to pose with Ms Eubanks.

Pepper Martin was busy as a bee and it was hard to catch her standing still but she always makes time for our TCFStyle Teen Ambassadors.

The Curvy Fashionista, Marie Denee herself even stopped for a quick photo!

With All Access passes we got to sit in on sessions, walk the expo and enjoy a private brunch all in one day.  On day two we came back to enjoy more of the expo.  The models were all gorgeous and represented plus sized fashion very well.

Overall, the girls were really inspired.  Not only were they encouraged to love and accept themselves for who they are but they also got to witness fellowship and sisterhood.  They got to see big, beautiful women owning their beauty out loud.  They were greeted with love, hugs and compliments from many and were empowered just by being in the room.  My hope is that they spread the love that they received to other girls.

Thank you to Pepper and Marie for inviting us out and we hope to see you next year with more beautiful curvy teens!
