To say that I had an amazing time at this years Bronner Bros. Mid Summer International Hair Show is an understatement. I have been bringing the Bronner Bros show to you for years. It was the first hair show that I ever attended 5 years ago so I am automatically excited about each and every show. It was an absolute honor to attend this year’s 2014 Mid Summer Show as an Official Bronner Bros Blogger. Before I even tell you anything about the show I just have to say thank you to Ms. Jai Stone, (Social Media Manager for Bronner Bros Hair Show) for the invitation to attend. I know it couldn’t have been easy to manage 30+ diverse bloggers but she did so with poise and class. I actually filled in for Jai on the 2nd day of the show and I can tell you that the pace was incredibly fast!

This seasons event was different and you could definitely tell that a new vision of the show has emerged. Bloggers were welcomed, there was a focus on natural hair styles and techniques, and the classes…There were over 50 classrooms and 200+ classes available. These were just a few of the major draws to the show. This all tied into the Happy Hair Experience, which was the theme and new professional brand of the show.

Bronner Bros. really rolled out the red carpet for its bloggers with a nice meet and greet luncheon in the penthouse suite of the Omni and by providing us with everything we needed to tell their story.
For those of you who don’t know this is the 67th year for the Bronner Bros Hair Show!

The Show Day 1
I arrived to a hustling and bustling show that was already in progress by the time i got there. As SOON as I walked in the door I was pulled into celeb photo opps at the Ford Pavillion! Here we are with China Upshaw of LA Hair!

I spent the entire day meeting African American entrepreneurs with a variety of businesses including Salons, Barbershops, Boutiques, Products, Clothing and so much more! I just loved getting up close and personal with ALL of the components that make hair and beauty a billion dollar industry!

After a Day of Activities was over, I headed over to Sheen Magazine “Be Happy” Celebrity Beauty Suite featuring Kim Kimble and more! You can see the raw footage from that night on my Instagram here. It was cool running into people that I’ve met through social networking and celebrities.

Day 2
The majority of this day was spent outside at the Ford sponsored Ride and Drive event. My new blogger buddy Brittney K and I had an awesome time hanging out with all of the folks from Ford as well as all of the people who came to sign up for their chance to win a 2015 Ford Mustang!
It truly was the perfect day both indoors and out.
Boy did it feel good to get back inside for a little A/C and to continue seeing all the sights and sounds of the show! Can you believe that I just randomly and totally unexpectedly ended up having lunch with a Bronner Bros legend, Master Stylist George Cooper! There he was chillin at the same BBQ stand that I was at. He was so cool!
By the way…THIS was lunch!!

We REALLY had a good time and the total experience was incredible from beginning to end. Thank you again to Bronner Bros for continuing a legacy of excellence in Black Business and for letting me a part of History! There are 2 more days left to the show at this point, but I promise I was too wore out to attend!! So my story ends here.
