Meet Gabrielle Goodwin, Creator of Gabby Bows, and her mom Rozalynn

This sweet angel faced little girl saw a problem one day and with the help of her mom Rozalynn, quickly solved it. The problem was one that every little girl has to deal with and that is keeping up with those hair barrettes and bows. Little Black girls all over the globe have been getting their hair decorated with these plastic little hair clasps that come in a variety of colors and shapes for decades.  They are used to hold the hair in place or the adorn the ends of the hair.  After a full day of playing, these devices are known for slipping off thereby causing lost barrettes, out of place hair and more.  As the mother of a girl child I know first hand the amount of time and money it takes to maintain hair styles and accessories.

At the age of 7 and together with her mom, Rozalynn, Gabrielle came up with a Double-Face Double Snap barrette, GaBBY Bows, that has an innovative design that prevents them from slipping out the hair.   GaBBY bows also comes in array of bright colors and shapes.  Through hard work and diligence, GaBBY Bows is now sold in 43 States and 7 countries.  It is sold in 25 stores in the Southeast. Gabrielle & Rozalynn were recently received national recognition as American Small Business Champions by SCORE and Sams Club!

To date, GaBBY’s story has been featured in Kiplinger, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Free Enterprise Magazine, The State, Augusta Chronicle, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and on a number of television shows including The Real.

In an interview with WIS-TV Gabby’s mom, Rozalynn Goodwin says that she wants to teach this life lesson to Gabby:

“…I want her to understand that there is so much work involved not with only having an idea but making it a reality.” ~Mom, Rozalynn Goodwin

Gabrielle has her own advice for other girls;

“if you believe you can achieve, try your best, work hard and persevere and never give up!” ~Gabrielle, GabbyBows.com

I only wish that this product was around when my daughter was losing barrettes left and right!  This is the perfect hair accessory for not only girls with natural hair but for ALL hair types.  Parents save yourself time and money and keep your baby girl’s hair looking fresh.  Check out GaBBY Bows!
