I cannot begin to express how happy I was to finally get some “Pixie Dust” from Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On The Road – Atlanta (#DisneySMMC) “Pixie Dust” is received whenever you get an invitation to something from Disney. It could be a conference, a cruise, a park visit and more! No matter what it is I’m happy to get it if it’s Disney related. I’ve visited Disney World in Orlando many times and even spoke there at a conference once. It is a magical place so I was excited to learn more.
Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On The Road – Atlanta
Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On The Road is a half day conference style program that creates an energetic forum where influencers and social media enthusiasts receive educational inspirational content designed to support the goals and unique lifestyle demands of social media influencers. Here we got a sneak peek at what Disney Parks has to offer and how they do social media. The entire event took place at the W Buckhead – Atlanta.
We were served a lovely breakfast. We got to hear from many amazing speakers. There were many amazing give aways and plenty of time for networking.
My favorite part about the entire event was hearing the young men and women from the Disney Dreamer Program. You guys know that my daughter is my WHY for everything that I do. Hearing these young people speak with so much passion about this amazing program was really inspirational. My daughter applied last year and was not selected. I was able to ask them to give me tips on what she could do to improve her application.
It was an honor to meet Jordan Williams. This young man is going places. He is a 19-year-old entrepreneur and a Disney Dreamer. He reached out to me personally after he spoke and shared additional words on the entire Disney Dreamer program. I look forward to following his journey on social networks since we are connected now.
We heard from many Disney Team Members like:
Content Manager: Jenn Fickley-Baker
Digital Content Manager: Alex Ruiz
Editorial Content Director: Bob Hitchcock
It was great to get updated on current social media trends. I learned so much about some of Disney Parks upcoming attraction like TRON (Im a huge fan) Pixar Play Parade, Pandora and most importantly Epcots Food/Wine Festival. It’s nice to know that Disney takes care of its influencers. They and other major brands are starting to look at more than just numbers when it come to selecting its influencers.
Kim Fields was in the building to speak to us about work/life balance. I loved hearing about how she balances her career and family. She dropped some great gems.
