Cruising Wine Country in the 2016 Mazda CX-9

I received this car from DriveShop for a 10 day test drive.  All opinions are my own.

We had a blast cruising around Georgia’s Wine Country in the 2016 Mazda CX-9 Signature ALL Wheel Drive (in Machine Gray Metallic).  This vehicle had everything we needed for our 4 day Weekend Wine Tour.   My team and I traveled from Atlanta to Dahlonega and back in complete comfort and style.  This vehicle gets 23 mpg combined city/highway.

Our first trek was to a sweet cabin in the mountains and this CX-9 handled the road there like a true champ.  We had the right sounds (Bose AM/FM/HD/Satellite 12 Speaker) and Mazda Navigation System to make our trip just perfect.  With 3 rows of seats (7 passenger seating) we were able to fit the whole family in for our daylong adventures touring vineyards and attending wine related events.  Here are some of the other interior features that we enjoyed:

Napa Leather trimmed upholstery

Heated front seats

3 Zone Automatic Climate Control

8 Way Power Driver seat w/lumbar

The 2016 Madza CX-9 has all of the classic styling of a luxury vehicle with all of the mechanical bells and whistles such as:

SkyActiv-G 2.5T Turbo Engine

i-Activ All Wheel Drive

Front and Rear Stabilizer Bars

Now let’s talk about that exterior!  We were able to get some fantastic photos of this beautiful vehicle.  We used the woods leading to the cabin and the vineyards as a back drop.

As you can see SHE fit right in with all of the scenery

Looking gorgeous with those 20 inch Alloy wheels and all the LED lights including the Headlights, Grill, Fog & Daytime Running Lamps and Combination Tail Lights, the 2016 Mazda CX-9 really made a statement everywhere we went.

The power moon roof came in handy since the sun was shining all day

As far as safety goes there is nothing missing.

Blind Spot Monitoring

Roll Stability Control

Smart Brake Support

It has become standard for Mazda to include 60MO/60K MI Powertrain Warranty and 36MO/36K MI Bumper to Bumper on all of its new vehicles.

I won’t lie the Lane Departure Warning Feature and the Lane Keep Assist feature were both annoying.  In Atlanta traffic lanes must be departed! But it wasn’t a big deal because you can turn that off.

Over all I enjoyed the ride in this cool cross over vehicle.  It was just what we needed for a weekend getaway to the mountains with friends and family.
