I received this 2017 Toyota Yaris iA from Toyota for a 7 day test drive. All opinions are my own.
Here in Atlanta, school starts in early August. This year we decided to take an extended weekend trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to celebrate the End of Summer. We spent the entire 4 days golfing and beaching! Lucky for us we got to ride in comfort and style in the 2017 Toyota Yaris iA. This compact beauty arrived in Sapphire Blue and ready to roll.
My family consists of my husband and baby girl. Since we were leaving for 4 days we did require some space for luggage and beach gear. The trunk was ample for our luggage and were able to fit our gear in the backseat.
What this vehicle lacked in size it made up for in gas mileage. After all it gets 40 MPG Hwy. We drove a little over 1000 miles on 3 tanks of gas and guestimate that it took about $70.00 in gas all together.
This vehicle handled well with it’s 1.5L 4-Cyl DOHC 16 Valve 106HP engine. It has a 6 -Speed Automatic transmission and a Sports Drive mode so it handled well on the highway from Atlanta to Myrtle Beach.
For a 5.5 hour drive it was good to have USB ports available for charging plus Bluetooth capability. This is an economical 4 door sedan so even though it was short on major perks we still enjoyed features like Push Button Starting and 7 in Color Touch Screen Display screen with back up camera.
Plenty of trunk space for a short road trip!
The Yaris iA lacked nothing when it came to basic comfort. It has a 6 way adjustable drivers seat and a 4 way adjustable passenger seat. The rear headrests are adjustable to accommodate all heights.
I had a great time posing with this vehicle. The Sapphire exterior was just the pop of color I needed for my beach dress!
Getting stuck in Myrtle Beach traffic wasn’t so bad either! Sounds from the radio and the cool air from the a/c took our minds off of this hour delay.
We had a fantastic weekend on the beach and made it back to Atlanta safe and sound and just in time to catch my daughters band in action!
The 2017 Toyota Yaris iA has everything that you need in terms of efficiency. Overall its powerful little engine packs a punch and will get you there plus save you money in the process.
