I am not a life long coffee drinker. I started drinking coffee in the late 90’s when my Dr. told me to stop drinking so much soda (or “pop” as we called it).  I needed something to get me through the day at my boring job so coffee was the next best thing.  An acquired taste for some, I started out with Cappuccino and soon realized that I didn’t need that caffeine/sugar combo so I began to drink dark roasts with 3 creams and 2 artificial sweeteners (please and thanks).  I stumbled on the Columbia blend and never looked back. It is by far my my favorite coffee flavor and roast (medium – dark) I enjoy its full bodied taste. Whenever I am out and about I request it over any others.  If you follow me on ANY social networks, then you know that I LOVE COFFEE!! I have posted about National Coffee Day, Black Coffee (The Movie) and of course FREE coffee.  In other words I talk about Coffee all the time, after all this IS a “cafe”!  When the folks over at Community Coffee asked me to try out their 100% Columbia Altura blend I was more than happy to oblige!!

Here are the specs:

Brand:  Community Coffee

Type:  Ground

Roast:  Med – Dark

Flavor:  Columbia Altura

I knew when I smelled the aroma of this blend wafting through my home that I was gonna be in for a treat.  With no cream or sweetener it has sweet undertones and is a little nutty.  Once I added my condiments I was immediately in love.  It is smooth, strong and mellow.  I could probably drink it black if I had to.  I drink coffee all day so I prefer something not too harsh, with enough of a kick to get my blood flowing… but not make me jittery.  The Columbia Altura flavor has a restaurant quality taste that you can have daily at home.

Do you want to know what the problem is with this particular blend…?? The problem is ….there is not enough of it!!  I need more!  After SEVERAL cups of Community Coffee 100% Columbia Altura the end result was always the same.  A PERFECT cup of coffee EVERY time.

I am giving Community Coffee 100% Columbia Altura…

Five Cups!  (A perfect score on a scale of 1-5)
