I attended a watch party here in Atlanta for BET’s hot new series “Being Mary Jane”. After an explosive first season, BET is bringing this exciting drama back for a second season and I’m ready!. The screening was held at the Suite Lounge and as always the venue was perfect. There was a full house of fans eager to catch an advanced preview of Season 2. Our host for the evening was none other than V103’s, Wanda Smith. She kept us all busy laughing and answering trivia questions while we enjoyed complimentary drinks and tasty finger foods.
I watched and tweeted about the entire first season and I must say that I really did enjoy it. After getting a sneak peek of season 2, I can honestly say that I can’t wait to see what Mary Jane, played by the beautiful Gabrielle Union, has in store. I truly love her in this role. I am not going to give anything away in this post so you are going to have to tune in when it airs on Feb. 3, 10p EST on BET!! All I am gonna say is that it was jaw dropping and Mary Jane will be off the chain this season!

In addition to seeing the season premiere we were treated to the soulful sounds of Stacy Barthe. This amazing songstress can be heard on the Being Mary Jane soundtrack. Once I heard her singing I immediately knew that her voice belonged on my playlist. Lucky for us everyone received a sample of her new album “BEcoming”.
