You never have to spend a lot of money in Atlanta to have fun. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is just another one of those fantastic events that caters to families. Free of charge and on the MARTA line, packing up our blanket and heading to Piedmont on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon was a no brainer. There were crowds of people walking from the MARTA station to the park and I had a good time chatting as we trekked our way to the venue. We saw a lot of individual local talent along the way expertly playing various instruments.
I even ran in to a curlfriend, none other than The VBar Lady!
My Husband, my daughter and I all had fun. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. We stayed, listened to smooth sounds and watched the sunset over the crowd. It was an amazing time with thousands of peaceful, Jazz fans. Including the folks that shared their cooler full of Corona’s with us! Thanks whoever you were! The music was amazing and even though we were too far to see who was playing, we sure did enjoy those sounds!!
Did you attend this years Jazz Festival? Which day did you go and did you enjoy it?
